When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
Always involved in activities that promoted physical and mental improvement. Also loved jumping from the top of the stairs.
What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
A good friend received a gift certificate for a tandem jump. We all went as a group. Nothing like some old fashioned peer pressure.
What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
Overcoming the fear of the open door.
What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
Jumping out of my own Cessna with my best friend Brendan Haddon. We proceeded to terrain fly a local mountain and swooped onto a golf course.
If you could jump with anyone in the world, who would you like to jump with and why?
My Dad. He’s terrified of aviation and I would love to help him through his fears, just as the rest of us had to do.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about jumping for the first time?
Just get out of your head, and through that open door. It will take you more places you could ever imagine.
